Suitability for Laundering
By using DashLocker, you agree that your clothes are suitable to be washed in water, on a normal cycle, and dried using heat in a tumble dryer. DashLocker cannot be responsible for any damage to clothing that is not suitable for this standard laundering process.
Minimum Order Size
All DashLocker order minimums are $20.00.
Orders that have not been paid for within 30 days of the pickup date will be considered abandoned and all property will be donated to charity.
Damaged Laundry Refund Policy
DashLocker will do everything we can to avoid damaging your laundry. DashLocker follows the standards and policies set forth by the Fabricare Industry and the International Fabricare Institute.
DashLocker exercises the utmost care in cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and use such processes which are best suited to the nature and conditions of each individual garment.
DashLocker cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or development of small holes in fabric that are not obvious prior to processing. All laundering processes, regardless of how gentle, cause normal wear and tear on clothing. As a result, we cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender fabrics; or against damage to ancillary items such as belts, buttons, beads, ties or zipper pulls. DashLocker’s liability with respect to any damaged items shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.
Cleaning and drying laundry also creates other risks. We do not individually examine every garment prior to placing it in the laundry. Therefore, if something is “dry clean only,” or otherwise unsuitable for common washing and drying techniques, please do not include it in the laundry you give to us. We will do our best to sort the clothes (Dry Cleaning vs Wash & Fold), but cannot be liable.
DashLocker reserves the right to decline cleaning any piece of laundry if we think it is unsuitable for the cleaning process.
Any damaged items must be reported and returned to DashLocker for inspection within five (5) business days.
Lost Laundry Refund Policy
DashLocker makes a reasonable effort to track every item that we process and will review all lost items claims on a case by case basis. We would love to be able to inventory every piece of laundry you give us. Unfortunately, it is cost-prohibitive for us to do so. As a result, we cannot be held responsible for any lost laundry; we simply have no efficient way of verifying that we actually received any particular piece of laundry in the first place.
Rest assured, we carefully track your clothes. For instance, we tag all our bundles with your name, and your clothes are never loose in our facility unless they’re inside a machine, on the folding table, or in their own laundry cart waiting to be folded.
If you do believe you are missing something from your delivery, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your clean clothes — we are much more likely to find misplaced laundry if it is reported early. We will provide a Claims Sheet for you to fill out if this is the case, a DashLocker customer representative will review the claim with the information you gave, and we will do our best to find a resolution that leaves both parties happy.
Any items determined to have been lost by DashLocker will be reimbursed in accordance with the International Fabricare Fair Claims Guide and shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.
When leaving items in lockers, please ensure that your locker has been correctly closed and locked. DashLocker is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from a failure to properly lock the locker.
Although, we try as hard as possible track such items, we are not responsible for loose items such as jewelry, watches, cash, detachable buttons, cufflinks, belts, broaches, stings, laces, hoods or loose items on garments, etc. We request that customers remove these items and empty pockets prior to leaving items with us as we cannot be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (lipstick, gum, pens, etc.).
Any personal property placed in a DashLocker locker that appears to have value will be removed by DashLocker and stored for 30 days. If items are unclaimed after 30 days, all property will be donated to charity.
DashLocker will adhere a permanent barcode to your garments in an inconspicuous location. These barcodes are very important in helping us track your garments so that items are not lost and to ensure you are billed consistently every time. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests not to adhere barcodes.
Service days and turnaround time vary by location. DashLocker will make its best reasonable effort to return clothes within 48 hours of drop off, however, we do not guarantee turnaround times and assume no responsibility for any damages that may occur due to a delay in service.
Additional Terms for Dry Cleaning
DashLocker will inventory all dry cleaning items once they arrive at the facility to be cleaned. This inventory is final, and we will track your items carefully to return them to you. However, in the event of loss or damage of dry cleaned items, we will reimburse you up to ten (10) times the charge per article (for example, a maximum refund would be $20 for a laundered and pressed shirt or $50 for a skirt).
Should you find an issue with one of your pieces, please notify DashLocker within 24 hours of your delivery.
As with our standard laundry process, DashLocker cannot be responsible for wear and tear resulting from cleaning, for very delicate items such as buttons or sequins, or for clothing missing proper care labels.
